The University of West Georgia is excited to launch Give a Howl, our spring crowdfunding campaign from Monday, April 14 through Monday, April 28! This is your chance to make a direct impact on the future of UWG by supporting the college or school that means the most to you. Whether you're a proud graduate of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences or another area of UWG, your gift will help shape the experiences of our students and inspire the next generation of Wolves!
The best part? There’s a friendly competition between each college and school to see who can raise the most funds by the end of the campaign! So, make your donation, spread the word, and share the Give a Howl campaign with your social networks. Let's show our Wolf Pack pride and come together to make a difference!
Your gift – no matter the size – helps UWG thrive and ensures the success of current and future students. Let’s donate, share, and shape the future!
We're howling for these accolades of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences:
From conducting in-depth research for her honors thesis to immersing herself in British culture while studying abroad, Haylee Milligan made the most of every opportunity at UWG. Her passion for learning, storytelling and analysis led her to a career as a Marketing Coordinator at Sikora International. Haylee’s journey proves that when students have the resources to explore their potential, they go on to do incredible things.
Riley Smith didn’t just study sociology – she used her research to shed light on critical issues. Her thesis, Sexual Victimization in the United States Marine Corps: Characteristics Associated with Victimization and Reporting, sparked important conversations at the Southern Criminal Justice Association’s annual conference in 2024. Now, as she teaches two sociology courses at UWG and applies to Ph.D. programs, she’s shaping the next generation of scholars while continuing to fight for justice.
When you Give a Howl, you’re investing in students like Haylee and Riley. Your generosity fuels their research, global experiences, and academic pursuits, setting them up for success beyond UWG. Let’s continue to empower the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and change-makers.
